Hello! 안녕하세요! Welcome to Words for Wanderers. Let me introduce myself and this monthly letter.

I’m an adult Third Culture Kid, born in England but growing up between 3 countries — the UK, the US, and Laos.

In my 30s, I moved to South Korea as a teacher, where to my surprise, I met my husband (a Korean TCK) and got married. I’ve been learning what it means to put down roots in a foreign country, navigating the joys and challenges of travelling and living overseas.

Here, on Words for Wanderers, each month I share stories of life, love, and faith from my experiences in Korea and around the world, as well as resources on a theme.

Being a TCK, traveler, or expat can be lonely at times. It is my hope that here, you will find a community and realize that you are seen, known, and valued — that you are not totally the odd one out — and that there is a place for you to belong — even though you may be living a more unconventional story than others.

I look forward to connecting with you more!
